Using Stardrops for my washing

Hi all

Long time reader, first time poster.
I've heard loads of good things about stardrops as a replacement for washing liquid and dishwasher tablets so I've started using it in my washing machine and dishwasher.

So far so good no complaints.

The only thing I miss compared to using tablets in my washing machine, is the lovely smell of freshly washed clothes. Is there anything cheapish I can add to my washing machine just for fragrance while the stardrops does the washing ?

Intrigued about its use in dishwasher. We have a slimline machine. How much would one use, and more importantly where do you put it as we only have a little snap lock container to put a tablet in. Wouldn't the liquid leak out before the washing process had come to an end?

And would the same amount of Fairy Liquid or Own Brand washing up liquid serve a similar purpose?

I would query you could use Starbucks in washing machines and dishwashers as you may damage the elements.

Don't do it! WUL is designed to bubble up so it looks/feels like it's doing something good when you use it. Even a little in a dishwasher or washing machine can foam up alarmingly due to all the agitation. You end up with a machine full of suds with suds coming out of the door/drawer.

If you add some salt it doesn't foam as much. I use mix of Aldi liquid and washing up liquid with a tbsp of salt - can wash dark and light together on 30 degree wash this way!
