FTB Underwriting Process

Hello all,

It's just a quick question...

So my partner and I are going to be FTB's, we've declared everything to the best of our knowledge but I didn't declare a credit card that I paid off in full and closed a few weeks back from applying. They've asked us for 1 month bank statement and the payment for this particular card is showing up. Is it worth when sending off the application form to the underwriters to send proofs to say it's all paid in full as I have them ready. I've never missed a payment at all and have always paid more than the mimimum. Other than that everything went through fine so just keeping our fingers crossed.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

give the underwriters what ever information they require, nothing more. Nothing wrong with paying off a credit card in full and this will show on your credit report.

Other than you have to wait for their response

So even though it's showing in my bank statement it's paid in full - no point declaring that to them now??

Just give them what they want, everything else they will ether ask for it and see it on your credit report

If you give them more info than they need, it could delay the process

What do you mean by "clocked" it?

If they are asking you about it then send them some documentation from the credit card provider which shows it has a zero balance.

The underwriter would have already seen it on your credit score anyway, if u do the experian free month, it shows up every credit u have, and my argos card even shows up the amount I paid each time, and the current balance, they know everything and will see ya paid off
