we phoned the csa 3 months ago to cance out dd with them as we are paying by cheque. They still tried to take the money and the dd was returned as unpaid so we rang again to tell them the dd was cancelled. Again this month they have tried to take the dd and it has been sent back unaid, we have sent a cheque though but what can we do?

Cancel the DD & set up a standing order. That way you're in control of the amounts that leave your bank. Don't trust the CSA not to try & take the DD out next month. Also, with potential industrial action by the postal workers, your cheques aren't guaranteed to reach the CSA on time.Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000.
