RED "discount" SEL stating reduction to £2.49/kg ...

... and it goes through the till at this.

Best before dates of Dec 2018, Jan 2019, Feb 2019 (well that's what I bought)

Some is NEW ZEALAND Lamb, some is AUSTRALIAN.

The 8 joints I bought were a few pence either side of £2 each

I reckon Whole legs around £6

I got one but the SEL just said 'New', nothing about a reduction, but it went through £2.49 a kilo - BBD Jan 2019.

I got a couple earlier today. Red SEL said £3.50 'ish per kg. Thought that was a good enough saving so took 2 to till. Just checked receipt and gone through at £2.49 per kg. Shame they are less than 1kg joints, bigger would suit me better ( and bigger saving) but still pleased. Thanx to QUOIA. Might go and get more now I've seen what price they went through the till.

Thanks for this OP - got 4 yesterday. Yes, they were all less than a kilo each, but perfect for myself and DH.

The whole legs (there were 5 or 6) were all just over 2kg (2.1 to 2.2 I believe) but I think these are not the best value for money ....

... like when buying half of one of these ....

... there's the "fat" end half .... (what I bought 8 of)

and usually there's the "pointy" end half (as it happens there weren't any) BUT ...

... I think these are NOT the best "lean" meat to bone/fat/skin ratio when compared to to the other end.

You could always cook them TWO AT A TIME
