Nice enough hotel with good leisure centre. Food quite good except there were long queues for breakfast.
    Good value at this price.
    Nicely situated in town.

Stayed in the RHB about 3 yrs ago- it was getting a bit worn and tired looking BUT the staff were friendly.
Breakfast good and the rooms nice/ adequate for the price.
  • I have stayed in this hotel a few times with my daughter. I thought it was a nice no frills hotel. Its good value for the money you pay for it. The last time we stayed we changed rooms as the first room was a bit shoddy and dark and it wasnt a problem. The rooms were clean each time we stayed there. The meals were good value too but nothing too fancy. There are a few shops in bray town centre but if you walk around the corner from the hotel you can get the Dart to Dublin which is highly recommended.
    oooooooh i luv a bargain :)
  • Just back today from a weekend at the Grand Hotel in Malahide. It was 190 euros pps for 2 nights B&B plus 1 evening meal. It's a lovely 4* overlooking the sea. The breakfast and dinner were lovely. We were given a free upgrade toan executive room (don't know why but it was a really nice touch). There's a pool and leisure facilities. Can really recommend it and it's the right side of Dublin for travelling back to the North. A short walk up the street to the DART station and it's only 2 euro single into Dublin. A very enjoyable and relaxing weekend.

Have you stayed there yourself? IMO don't go tripadvisor.

Why ever not????? Reviews on there as are valid as any on here, are they not? I haven't stayed in that particular hotel but I use tripadvisor all the time before booking a hotel. Yes, you get good and bad reviews for most establishments, but a sensible person can read through them all and make a informed choice.

Again IMO more people will report on bad experiences be it car service, electrical goods or restaurants than will report a good experience. It's easier to "complain" in this manner than face to face.
