I take it you mean mystery shopping?
I'm a mystery shopper for www.gapbuster.com and get assignments through for McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut.

I've gone to Wagamama's for them, but it's a lot of hassle and you have to pay for it first then they pay you back within a month I think.0 -

Thanks for the replys. Would you advise joining these sites? How much of your time do they take up? How does the money thing work for the eating out ones? Do you have to sign up to a month? Sounds like a great idea eating out for free!!0

It does vary from area to area-I get loads more than my family in Scotland do- but also as you do more assignments more become available especially at first. My advice would be to keep faith with it and do the first one you can even if its not really what you are interested in. Then once they know you are capable of filling in the form on time you will be offerred more. Also I made my area a bit wider as sometimes its worth a ten minute drive if you can have a good meal out.;)thriftymanc wrote: »Does RetailEyes actually offer you anything remotely accurate i.e. within the areas you've specified? I swear, I've signed up and put in two fairly specific regions - five miles around where I live, five miles around where my parents live if I happen to be visiting on a weekend - and all that ever comes up in the 'available assignments in your area' bit is some museum in Jerusalem?! And yes it does appear in the 'in my area' bit and not the 'stuff in other areas' bit! !!!!!!?! Fair enough if there's just nothing in my area, I can deal with that, but I really do not live in Jerusalem! And it only pays £10 and they don't cover expenses for it... I'd go if I got my flights paid for! :beer:0 -

Sounds like a job for me - mind you I am always quick to complain if food is poor - so far by doing this I have been offered a free meal for myself and my partner at a restaurant in London (since making a complaint though I haven't felt like returning). I have been offered a fiver off my next meal at a pub in Chaddesley Corbett because I complained about their chips - dark brown and soggy and not what you'd expect.Semper in faeces profundum variat

Footprints, it's not eating out for free. You have to put a fair bit of effort into the first few you do. And sometimes you even get follow up emails or calls if they want information to be clarified.
As for retaileyes, they stink. The briefs are not even clear. For example, eye test ones, they say we reimburse you £27.50, but it says shopping limit £12.50. Where is the sense in that?
Try www.xec.gapbuster.com They have Pizza Hut, KFC, McDonalds, as well as a whole host of other goodies. Pay isn't fantastic, but it is fun.0
