Who are the quickest to process mortgage applications

Hi all,

Having a real nightmare with London & Country for a HSBC mortgage. My case manager with L&C doesn't care and only chases HSBC when I badger her several times. When L&C do chase, HSBC take a week to respond back. I'm 4 weeks in, had all my documents sent over in the 1st week and HSBC are just sitting on my application saying they're very busy.. I'm worried I may lose the house if this doesn't get done soon. Who are the most painless/quickest lenders to look at my application and give me a decision?

A lot of the time when I speak to clients, they say they want the cheapest deal, but when you sit and have a conversation about it, usually that becomes less of a priority. Lowest rates =longer waits...everyone wants the cheapest, which means they become busy.

There is no quickest lender they can vary - I did 2 cases for clients in April, one went to offer in a week, the other I am still waiting on, although there are lenders who tend to be quicker, have you spoken to L&C about your concerns?

With regards to L&C I go back to my previous comments, lowest fees means they have to do more business to earn a wage and so it is more liekly you become a number to them.

I have spoken to L&C, but only my case manager can chase HSBC or escalate concerns. Everyone's telling me how busy they are, but I don't want to hear that when my vendor's getting itchy feet about whether I can get a mortgage. I wish I knew what a headache this would be. They were top recommended broker on the MSE mortgage advice guide but I feel like just a number. Wish I'd gone direct to avoid middlemen

HSBC may well be causing the 'delays' rather than the Broker. If so, the broker should communicate this to you better.

When you speak them on Monday, clarify your expectations.
