ooh, do share the banana cake recipe please.

My OH is the same with leaving presents, mind you I think its very hard not to contribute. Even on my fixed short contract get hit for these things, last week it was £5 into the maternity leave present of someone I have met twice and will never meet again. This week its a compulsory secret Santa at £20. Bah, humbug...

£20 for a secret santa!

The banana cake recipe is this one.

    http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/banana_bread

I blitzed the bananas with my hand blender and used 3/4 cup of sugar. 3/4 cup of melted butter is 180ml by the way, saves you looking it up ;)

Put stuff in loft and get down Christmas stuff
[STRIKE]Check wrapping paper and cards and add to next week's shopping list [/STRIKE]Done and bought £10's worth at Asda this morning

It has been a spendy day today. If I had remembered it was Black Friday I would have avoided going to the little retail park. Luckily I parked down a side road so walked straight in as if I had driven in I would have been stuck as it was gridlocked.

On top of a very small shop (£22) and the cards and paper in Asda I bought some wonder web for DH and DS trousers and 3 diaries for next year! I need a cheap one for the car to track my business mileage (£1), a week to 2 pages one for work (£2) and I picked up a day to page diary for £5 to use as a bullet journal for home. It has a monthly planner and an expenses page (which I will use for monthly goals) at the start of each month. I will still follow the original principles of the bullet journal just not the fancy spreads you see on Instagram. I am as artistic as a stone.

I have been to the dentist and paid almost £80 for a filling :( then on to B&M for some light bulbs and storage boxes. I had bought 6 in Asda for £9 but picked up 10 for £6.99 so will take the Asda ones back. A big tub of swizzle sweets fell into my basket but these will come out of my personal spends.

To top all that spending I will be ordering the paint and paper tonight for our bedroom

The weekend should be relatively spend free as DH is at work tomorrow morning and my DB and partner are visiting us. We may make a start on sorting out the bedrooms but DH wont get in until 3.30pm so will let him chill out. Sunday DS has another match and I will be doing some batch cooking for next week. In the afternoon we will be sorting out the bedrooms and making several tip runs no doubt.

This is our last relatively quiet weekend before the Christmas party madness starts.

2 days until DH paid :) DH has had his bonus signed off too and is more than expected:):)

So busy yesterday I didn't get chance to post an update to my list and didn't even look at the laptop until late last night which is probably why I got quite a bit done :o

DH will take DS to rugby this morning while I do some batch cooking, finish the housework and dye my hair. If I have enough time I will make a start on sorting the front bedroom before they get back. This afternoon we will make a trip to the tip and possibly take DS swimming.

I made enchiladas again last night and it is definitely the chilli powder that is too hot. I used 1/2 teaspoon instead of 1 tbsp. and it was still ridiculously hot. I bought some mild chilli powder, made another batch and the recipe was perfect.

Ooph! That is an awful lot done - well done you!

We've done too much over the last 2 weekends to be honest and need to claim back some family time going forward. I have a few nights away with work over the next 2 weeks and both Fridays I am out at Christmas parties.

This weeks list is going to be less demanding and will actually include, shock horror, some debt busting!:j

    To Do List

    Clear Arg05 BNPL :D
Balance CC and allocate to budgets
Check budget and amount to debt when both paid (DH Tue, Me Thurs)
Request settlement figure for parental loan to repay next week, half cash and half BT:D
Meal plan for December (7 evening meals out/away, 1 Christmas dinner and 1 takeaway at friends on NYE I don't have to think about)
Plan to get most from 2xlunch allowance and 1 dinner allowance this week (Christmas food)
    Set December food budget
    Mr T order
    Hoover everywhere
    Dust everywhere
Quick once over in bathroom and clean loo
    Mop kitchen floor
    Washing and ironing
    Change bedding (weekend)
    Prep 2 walls in bedroom
    Attempt to apply fake tan
    Take bulbs back
    Buy sealed tins
Do something nice (and free or cheap) as a family at the weekend
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

Such a good idea - I've just bought a week-to-a-page diary for my bag (prefer larger but need something small) but I'd like to get back to my BJ for December. Poor neglected thing! Mine is just in a cheap notebook so you aren't the only one preferring function to art. :) However, a page a day diary would be just perfect for those everlasting lists!

DH gets paid tomorrow so I am going to get up early pay off the BNPL and play with the budget :D

There is over £100 left in the account :D

I will also buy next year's panto tickets which go on general release in the morning and book a Christmas Mr T delivery for just before the big day so I don't have to go into the shops. If I don't buy the panto tickets as soon as I can there will be nothing left as it is very popular and 'friends' of the theatre have already had the opportunity to book.

I'm away overnight tomorrow but have packed my bag and written my list to make the most of my dinner allowance in M&S.
