Hi Kelloggs thanks for the reply. When you say it could increase due to tax credits, does that mean both the working tax credit and the child tax credit? We only receive the child tax credit so is it likely that that could cause it to increase?0

CTC is taken into consideration regardless of the person it is paid for. WTC is only taken into consideration if it is paid to the NRP.

Working tax credits are taken into account if the NRP is the higher earner, regardless of who actually gets it.
In answer to the OP question, if you get child tax credits it will be added to your net income and if it makes a difference I think of a tenner per week or more, then your assessment will increase.0 -
My hubby is on the new system and my details were asked for when filling out the forms 2 years ago.
We gave all my details and tax credits i get for our son are taken into account.0
