The prize is so....

Ever noticed how when someone promotes a prize as 'worth £999.00' it looks like you'd have trouble justifying the price at the poundshop? Or how when the description contains the words, 'gorgeous, fantastic, or amazing' it usually isn't. Whereas the really good prizes are often promoted really matter of factly.

Just makes me smile sometimes. :D
2018 - £562  2019 - £130 2020 - £276  2021 - £106 2022 - £140

Watches2U used to say their prize watches were worth £100s yet if you checked out the same watches on Amazon, they were selling them off in their sale at a fraction of the 'original' price (so in the £10s rather than £100s!) So their giveaways were quite misleading!

Saying that, many companies giveaway clothes stating their full price but fail to mention they are old stock that they have been trying to get rid of at knock off sale prices!

It's the same with the Click2Wins, a lot of times they have a value which is probably more representative of the RRP when it originally released, you can always find the same item cheaper online.

There's actually 2 competitions on there at the moment (C2W's) for Intempo headphones, looks like 2 comps for exactly the same headphones one with a value of £50 and one with a value of £20 ... they might actually be different but look the same to me.

and they are £39.99 on the Intempo site.

I haven't looked at them for some while but quite often they would chuck something small in with a larger prize that just took the value to their £500 multiple wins limit.

Just found one and they still do it, without the dvd this would be below £500

I've seen that before but usually for "Money can't buy" type stuff like signed stuff or stuff like that, dunno why that particular one has no value though.
