Anyone with a FAIR credit rating been successful with applying for a unsecured loan?
I did a search on moneysupermarket.com and all the loans that are in the 'FAIR' bracket are all secured loans. I been rejected by Northern Rock and looks like GE Money also as i havent had a decsion from them yet after applying 4 days ago.
Are there any other sources to find which providers accept 'Fair' rated ppl like me?

Have you tried Alliance & Leicester, I was rejected by northern rock but succesfull with A&L.

I didnt get the really low rate though, they gave me one at 13% I think it is. Apply online and you get a decision within a day or 2.

I applied for a loan with B/Card which they have declined.

Any idea how good A&L are in accepted applicaton from houewife. I get Child Tax Credited, child benefit. My husband works and total household income is around 16k.

    Thanks

No Idea give it a try, I would imagine it depends how much you borrow. If your husband is working maybe better to put it in his name.

Well i applied to A & L and i got rejected. I don'y know what to do. I was given a rate of 22.4% from my bank (Barclays) which is ridiculous.
After being rejected by 3 banks now what do i do?. My score is 781 so although not great it's not bad.
Do i have to look at applying to the smaller dodgy looking lender who say they are good for bad credit loans.
I don't understand as i wanted 3500, earn enough to pay both my outgoings and my loan re-payments with loads left over and according to my credit report only missed a few payments on a catalogue bill in the 2 yrs i been paying to them.
  • I also have a FAIR credit rating with the same score as you, I checked on creditexpert .com. I went to the HSBC and they will give me £15000 unsecured, I do have a fulltime job, and I have been with the HSBC for 15 yers so they know all about my history.

    Good luck
