:o Not for me for my other half!
Mrs Heedtheadvice is looking for a dress for daughters wedding being very MSE in principle is looking for a bargain but I am more concerned she finds something she is comfortable with and looks good in her eyes. (Yes I know I am just an old romantic!!)

She could do with some help as to where to look having tried several web sites and non come up to expectations (J Lewis, H o Fraser, Poetry and others too I expect). So, suggestions would be most welcome that I can pass on? We are in the sticks so not close to any major outlets.

Perhaps her desire should be added -it will no doubt limit availability! A dress for the fuller figure, not matronly looking but not short above the knee, loose fitting, not navy blue but lighter blue or grey would be fine (she will get a contrasting jacket) suspect cotton or linen (not man made fabric) and definitely not patterned!

That likely will be going against all current fashion but she is a woman of her own mind - I'll call her a trend setter!!

Any help would be appreciated as time seems to be passing, only a few weeks left now
Edit: probably a lot more to the spec but my excuse is I'm a fella!

She might struggle with not patterned! My Mum got her dress from Phase 8 for our wedding last year - they have quite a good selection, matching jackets/boleros etc, and don't tend to be too short. Also, lots being sold on ebay after 1 wearing if she wants to be MSE about it! (though obviously better to go and try on really!).

Just a note about Phase Eight - their sizing does seem to come up on the small size.
    Great clothes though.

If looking for a real bargain type in 'mother of the bride' to ebay - loads of lovely outfits worn only once - often with hats etc as well.

Dorothy perkins do bridal dresses now starting at £85. The Katherine one is nice and that price if they've still got some left.

Might be worth a look at 'Yours' I have no idea if there is anything suitable. I posted a discount voucher for 15% discount which is valid until sometime in July. I don't think they are too generous with sizing 'though!

I assume you have already looked at Evans?
Also there's a plus dept in M&Co ((mean sizing again IMHO)

Already mentioned is JD Williams but all the clothes they produce under different labels appear together as Fashionworld

Lots of luck in the hunting of the dress

ps I sniggered when I read the title...so now you can have an online wedding! bet that will actually happen one day!
