Without hijacking your thread mumofthetwins, can I be nosey and ask what oven you've bought? And you too teddysmum?
Our oven is playing up but I haven't a clue about what to buy. We've always bought second hand so I don't even know what is a reasonable price range. OH loves gadgets and brand names, so I need to start my research before he picks one!weaving through the chaos...0 -
We have a Neff double oven and one really convenient feature is that the oven doors completely unclip and lift off so that A) You can clean them elsewhere and
. It allows you to more conveniently access the inside of the oven for cleaning.
However we ve had ours for about 3 years now and have had to replace the oven lights twice. Also these can be a real blighter to replace and on one occasion we actually had to call a service guy out to get the old one out and fit a replacement because it had jammed in. Maybe we were unlucky but if you look at a Neff in a showroom put your hand inside and check the ease for yourself with which the light fittings unscrew.0 -

My oven is a self-cleaning one but I've noticed that it is starting to get a bit of a build up of greasy dribbles on the walls.
Am I okay to give it a good scrub?
I've never had one of these before and am not really sure what I'm doing with it.
I have discovered that it seems to stay on for a while after I turn it off so does that mean it's cleaning itself? I've ruined a few meals by turning the oven off and not removing the food.
Now I turn it off about five or ten minutes before I think I need to and leave the food inside, depending what it is. Not sure if that is the right thing to do or not.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
