Student loan - Full-time to Part-time and back again

I went from full time to part time last summer and therefore rightly my student loan deductions stopped, as I went below the threshold. I then went back full time in the September (salary back over the repayment trigger) however no deductions were made from the first payment back at a FT employee.
I'd previously been told that this should start from the tax year again, however come last month's pay and they are still not being deducted.
I've contacted my HR about this and they state I should contact the Student Loan Company to get them to inform my employer they should restart - is this correct?
