Thinking of getting a new hybrid bike like the look of the above.


Any views on boardman? and specific model.

I'm no expert on the individual components, but broadly speaking and from a general/utility viewpoint:


Good:
No rear suspension
Lockable front suspension
Hydraulic disc brakes - truly excellent
Massive gear range will demolish any hill you are likely to meet
Proportions look good


Bad:
Aluminium frame gives a harsher ride than traditional steel (this is a personal thing of mine; others aren't bothered)
Saddle looks like an implement of torture (can be easily changed)
700c wheels - I prefer 26" for this kind of bike, but I am swimming against the tide here


Overall, I like the look of it and it seems good for the price. If I were looking for a bike at the moment it would be high on my list.
