Combined mortgage which to repay first

Hello everyone
I do not post much but I do look at the MSE site a lot.
Please can someone advise? I have a part repayment part interest only mortgage a legacy from having an endowment. I have been paying in extra with the odd lump sum.
My building society has used it to pay off the repayment part. I thought it would have been better to pay the interest only? That way I will be charged less overall interest and it guaranteed to pay off my mortgage at the end of term
Please can someone help?
Thanks

You want to it to pay off the higher rate interest part, whichever that may be.
Is this not the same query you have a couple of years ago?

Highest rate if they were the same does not make any difference as long as you keep paying the same amount every month.
What you pay determines how much interest you pay.0 -
The interest rates are the same so no difference.
Thanks for the advise puts my mind at ease0
