Another unexpected UU for me, and a TA:
UU
- Elemis Pro-collagen super serum elixir. WPNBA - fortunately I got this on offer for a good price, as I'm not very impressed. I still suspect it may have given me some deep spots, which cleared up when I changed temporarily to something else. I started using it again, and finished it really fast, so don't think it's great value either. I have another still, so I'll keep it under review...
And the TA:
- Kedma facial collagen mask. WDBA - horrible thick plaster type mask that just made a mess going on and off. Life is too short, it's going.0 -
Hi everyone, i was away on a break so not updated as much but when I was on holiday, I have used up some stuff. I have noted down the samples I have used up but looks like i accidentally deleted them from my notes. A bit annoying. 2 body lotion from Clarins, 1 perfume sample from Nina Ricci are all I can remember.
I do have 3 full-size uu though. First one is Origins Plantscription™ SPF 25 Power Anti-Aging Cream, 50ml. This was part of a box set that I bought for £40 around Christmas time, usual price is around £48.
While I liked it, I'm not sure I'd pay the full price. It is also more suitable for spring/summer time than winter as it is not very rich and even my skin is not so dry, I had to reapply it from time to time.
I am thinking to move towards using non-spf creams anyway so probably WNBA.
The second one is Botanics Radiant Youth Super Serum 30ml. For £4, I'd say this is a great buy for me. I usually keep it in the gym bag or use it when travelling so if something happens to it, at least it won't break the bank. It feels good on the skin and didn't break me out. I will buy again. Ps: Boots usually have point offers on Botanics so it works out better value for money.
The third one, Tiaki Natural Eye Cream which was also part of my use by summer list. I bought this from TK Maxx and I didn't find it particularly good. It is very light and feels nice on the skin but didn't see much benefit from it. WNBA.
Hope all is well.ally.0 -

Ok so , now unpacking, I remember i need more to update!
I have UU'ed a full-size Sensodyne mouthwash last night. Also a travel size mouthwash and toothpaste. In addition, a travel size Palmolive shower gel.
Then, I have INs. Two High Pigment Wet and Dry eyeshadows from Kiko, number 68 and 20. They were discounted and there is no Kiko store where I live.
At the airport, I found some good deals on Clinique, unlike many other brands, they were cheaper than buying from Boots. Firstly, I bought a clarifying lotion, full size. Also, Take the Day Off, makeup removal balm as well as a Moisture Surge Set. The set was half price and has full-size eye roll and day cream. It also has the spray in travel size. I use all of these and saved around £35 compared to prices here in the UK.
That's it for the month I promise :eek:ally.0 -
I think for me the reason I like the pore strips is that you can actually see what has come out of your pores so feel it has actually done something whereas if I exfoliate I don't get the same pleasure IYSWIM
I agree, you definitely know your pores have been cleaned when you look at the pore strip!I do find them strangely satisfying to look at though :rotfl:
I only remember to use a pore strip occasionally so I guess they are not too bad for my skin, if you used them regularly I imagine they could strip off layers of nose skin.No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins0 -
Outs:
Mabelline – the Falsies Push Up Drama mascara – 9.5ml - OH's reject. This was so sticky and kept transferring on to the skin. I actually left it for a few moths to dry out, and then it was very good! Its gone clumpy now though so time TA. WNBA. Replacing with open Benefit they're real mascara from stash.
Benefit – Black They're Real Push Up Liner - Um worst eye liner ever! Or maybe it was old when I purchased. The gel just crumbles as you use it. I have tried to use this 3 times and it's impossible. I'm complaining to Benefit.
E45 cream - 50g - used on sunburn. Replacing with same from stash.
Boots Dry Shampoo - shared with OH. Buy when nothing else is on special, it works fine. Directly replaced with Batiste.
Neutrogena CC cream light – 50ml!- Life's too short for this.
Adding Benefit brow pencil to my PP list - using on weekdays. (currently using Becca powder but this will last for eternity)0 -
May has been rubbish for being good. I bought a Revelation lip mat lip stick. I find i do not get a chance to reapply anything in the day so it might be nice.
I got a gift of la roche posey redermic c moisturizer. I hope it is nice. It is timely as i was looking at the no. 7 one yesterday but i was put off by needing to use it in 28 days.
I am currently using sunday riley good genes and it stinks to high heaven. It is very effective but my beloved beleinda serum at 1/5 the price seems so much easier to use. However, the challenge here is to use up what you have.0 -
One UU tonight:
La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 40ml WDBA and have. This is great at healing any small cuts and scratches and also soothing sore skin.
And one TA:
Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50 This is after some hard thought. I like this but it is irritating my skin. So hard but I can't use it anymore0 -
Welcome Jilly.
I have some uu
Nicky Clarke Instant Calmer 30ml - I like this but found it more effective before my hair went curly, I have more in the stash though and will still enjoy using them.
Crabtree & Evelyn Aloe Vera Body Lotion 250ml - WBA, lovely stuff, very nice on the skin, it is strongly scented so wouldn't be for everyone.
I have given a Ren Vita Mineral Day Cream to DH as he needed a moisturiser, he just finished one of these and really liked it.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hair help needed, had my hair done on Saturday, I have one of those styles which is dark on the top then blends down to blonde on the ends. I just had the roots and the top reblended into the blonde and it looked ok when I left the Salon but when I got home noticed that the blonde was looking dingy and dirty it appears that some of the darker dye has gotten into the ends. I haven't got time to go back to the salon to get it sorted any ideas how I can get the blonde bits to lighten and look brighter?0

My laptop is a little poorly and will be going to the nice man who can this week, so taking this opportunity of posting my "scores on the doors" for May while I can:(
UU 12/43, IN 4/30, GA 0/5, TA 0/4, the INs seem low, but I was away for most of the month, if I find anything I have missed I will add to the June list.
Off now to tidy all my bathroom stuff, do a June PP list and try to plan a UU action plan for the next few months, I have been able to resist lots of tempting potential purchases, I have to stay strong and not add to to "stocks", but also declutter my home which has lapsed into chaos over the last few years of ill health, I have a little more energy and am sure I will have even more when I get on top of this. Starting this morning with the carrier bag full of toiletry item empties which have been saved just in case I need to decant into them:eek::eek::eek:, wish me luck ladies:rotfl:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
