Hi
I have the slow cookers made by cookworks from Argos but have misplaced the recipe book. I wondered if anyone had the book and would be able to share the vegetable soup recipe from there please.

Sorry can't help with the recipe book but you don't really need a specific recipe to make a vegetable soup in the slow cooker. Any recipe will work as long as you cut down on the amount of stock as it doesn't boil off like it would with a saucepan.

Hi,
did a google for 'cookworks vegetable soup' and found this.
---Sample Recipe---
(Many more can be found online)
Vegetable Soup
* 1oz butter
* 1 chopped onion
* 1 crushed garlic
* 2 lbs mixed vegetables (potatoes, carrots, swede, parsnip, broccoli)
* 1.5 pints vegetable stock
* 2 tablespoons tomato pur!e
* 1 tablespoon chopped mixed herbs
* Seasoning
Heat the butter in a pan, add the onion and garlic and brown for a few minutes - then add vegetables for a few more minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to the boil.
Transfer to the slow cooker and cook on either HIGH for 2.5-4 hours or on LOW for 6-9 hours.
Edit: More here.0 -
