Hi Guys,
Just completed and got the keys to our new house today
Summary of what we took out and credit history:
420k Purchase Price
84k HTB
63k Deposit
273k Halifax Mortgage - 2 Years Fixed 1.49%
I've got 4 defaults from 2011/2012 all now satisfied.
2x Payday loans from 2013/2014
30k outstanding on car finance.
Other half has got perfect credit history.

Yes it certainly is! A lot of stress over the last four months with fear of rejection but we got there in the end. We were private renting and now £500 better off a month!0

Benhaven - well done. Do you know if Halifax credit checked you before releasing funds? I've a mortgage agreed with Halifax and recently had a 5 year 8 month default added to my account hitting my credit score massively - due to complete mortgage in June and in fear. Thanks0

Nothing showing on my credit report. I cleared my credit cards before completion as It was on my application.
They do random checks I was told by my brokerS
