Trade Unions

I have read many thread on here where people have workplace issues.
Advice on here can be good but when your under pressure in the workplace you need someone with you fighting your cause.

Join a trade union, talk to work colleagues, see if they are in a union, find out which one. Meet your local Rep.

Not got a union or rep ? Think about joining one and one of becoming a Rep.
You get paid time off for training, meetings representing members etc.

I had a workplace issue a couple of years ago and a group of us (15) had support from a Rep from the union. Because of his support I became a Rep and have advised many members both face to face and over the phone. I had sat on cases, grievances, employment law, pay issues to name a few.

I won't name the union I joined but its huge over 1.4 million members.

Please do ask if you want or are thinking about joining a union as not all unions are suitable for all jobs or trades
