I have run out of kitchen, bathroom and floor cleaner all at the same time!
What do people recommend as being cheaper options?
I have both Aldi and Lidl near me, plus all the usual supermarkets, but nowhere which stocks star drops (which I've seen recommended here before) I like to have a spray, but do have a spray bottle I could use. I also have very hard water so need something in the bathroom that at least makes an effort to clear the limescale.
Thanks for your suggestions

Hi,
I use anything from anywhere that says multi purpose on the bottle for the floors. I find that Flash smells nice if you like that sort of thing.
Then Zoflora which can be bought from the main supermarkets in the cleaning isle. It is a small bottle in a box (If you have never used it before) You mix a cap full to 400 mls of water as a spray.
Keep it simple and you save cash0 -
I clean most everything with a 500ml spray bottle mixed up with water, a capful of Zoflora and a squirt of Stardrops.0

Do you have Wilkinson or Wilco? They stock Stardrops. That will do all the jobs.Never, ever give up........0

I do have zoflora but never thought of using it to make a spray - I'll give that a go.
I've looked in a local Wilco but no luck on the star drops front. I did find some in a shop some distance away once, but it's a bit far to go. There seemed to be several different types of star drops and I didn't know which one people meant when they referred to it on here.May spend - £291.40/£320.00

That is marketing, rather than money savingObviously it isn't the cheaper option to travel further than normal just for a bottle of Stardrops, it isn't that good!
So I would still go for a Multipurpose. I've just looked and I've got Morrisons All-Purpose cleaner at the moment. I pour a some in a bucket and use it on Kitchen floor, hall way wooden floor, laminate in the porch and the bathroom floor. I imagine the bottle cost about £1

You can order stuff in Wilko to be delivered to your nearest store for free.
Stardrops0 -
I sometimes buy products 'designed' for this and that but I do find that a bit of washing up liquid in a bucket does the job most of the time.
I must be slovenly!I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Another vote for Zoflora. It's cheaper to get it from one of the £1 shops rather than sm (obviously £1!
) and the fragrances are gorgeous.
We also have hard water and I use Mr S's own brand limescale remover; it's £1.50 for a 500ml spray bottle and really does get rid of the water marks on bathroom/kitchen tiles. A pleasant smell too.I just wish they did refill bottles. It's also good for cleaning the grouting; just spray on and scrub with an old toothbrush.
For windows and mirrors: hot water, a couple of drops of wul + a splash of white vinegar, buff up with scrunched up newspaper or a microfibre cloth = sparkling surfaces.
Other than that, any multipurpose liquid plus good old fashioned elbow grease usually does most jobs. That said, I use sugar soap dissolved in very hot water for my kitchen floor tiles followed by a rinse with clean hot water; gets rid of the most determined stubborn grease and grime!Be kind to others and to yourself too.0 -

Following on from the link posted by Upsidedown Bear, the one I use is the orange all purpose one.Never, ever give up........0 -
I use a mixture of the orange stardrops 1/3rd, bleach 1/3rd and water 1/3rd, in a spray bottle to clean. Use dilute bleach in a spray for grout, spray and scrub with an old toothbrush.
Vinegar for lime scale and also cleaning the windows, mirrors etc. use an old towel to buff up the taps, bath, basin etc.0
