Mortgage commission rebate

Hi. I could only find information from 10 years ago on mortgage commission rebates. Moneybackmortgages appears to be the only site still doing rebates and have estimated 0.1%. Has anyone used them or another? I've used a broker many times and been happy for them to get the commission for the work and advice provided, but this would be a simple remortgage and I know which mortgage I'd like already so don't need to go to a broker on this occasion . If I go direct then the commission the mortgage company would have paid is lost so would rather the broker got it than noone... it's a £600k mortgage so not an insignificant commission amount.

Maybe ask your mortgage broker to do it on fee basis with commission offset. With that size of mortgage, a fee of say £1000 could easily be offset with £1800 commission with £800 ending up in your pocket.

Not all brokers offer a fee option. However, if the broker is not employed but its own business then he will have the scope to decide terms.
