I really want to come home

Hello,
I am from the South West of England but living and working in Thailand as an English teacher for the last 10 years. I have also done various other jobs in the past before moving here, mainly in retail and delivery. I have a full UK driving licence C+E. I have also worked as a freelance photographer and website designer for my own websites. I have done video production in the UK in 2001. I am entreprenial mindset, an ideas person.
I am really desperate to leave Thailand even though some people think that it's a wonderful place to live. True, but if you want to have things in life then there is nothing better than your home country where you are entitled to purchase property and have a better future. I have been looking for work for over a year and I need something in my interest that will challenge me and inspire me to do more. I am happy to do training but what I do need is a salary of £25,000 per year.
I am looking for a career in either IT or multimedia based job that offers training and believes in me that I can work well and professionally.
If anyone can help me, I would be very happy to leave Thailand asap.
Andrew

Without IT experience you won't get a IT job starting at 25k where I live - Sheffield. Not sure about South/London. There are people with lots of experience earning 25k or even less. IT is well paid if you specialise in something that is in demand. General IT work is not paid very well because lots of people can do it.
Perhaps consider taking a lower salary and boosting your income with photography or web design work on the side?0 -
Nobody believes in you; they don't know you. Nobody is going to give someone presumably over 30 an entry level job with training at that salary. Nobody needs to do that.
Is this slightly more sophisticated than usual post-building spam? The language is a bit off. Apologies if you are real.0 -
Your written English is a little shaky for an English teacher.
I agree with the post above. You are a total stranger to all of us on here and it would be foolish to take what is written on a forum at face value.0 -
I would have thought its easier to find jobs when you are in the country? You'll need to attend interviews and so on.0

Regarding his English being shaky, I don't believe you have to be all that qualified to teach English in Thailand. i may be wrong and OP may be using his phone.
OP if you dont have experience, forget about IT, competition is massive, everyone has a computer science degree too, if you want IT then you had better meet the right person or be in the right place at the right time.
If you want work in the UK you will have to come back to the UK and look. not really sure about what you want from this forum.
Also people believing in you is usually earned, from my experience anyway.0 -
As others say its probably easier to look for work from the UK. Could you come back and start off with any job you can find and the apply for what you really want? I live in south east and you can find entry level IT jobs around the £22k mark but many start lower. Do you have IT qualifications? It can be quite competitive. Structure your CV to highlight your transferable skills.0

When I was out of the country for a couple of years teaching English, I got a job teaching English in this country - there are lots of summer schools running which include accommodation and then I used that time to find a longer term job. All worked out well (that was 10+ years ago but still.. )0

Come back to the UK and complete a CPC course which will enable you to drive trucks with your licence, plenty of work around the country if you don't mind putting the hours in and £25k is easily attainableBe Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0
