I am looking at Digital/Atom for fixed rate mortgage but would like some info from you guys who have already gone with them.
1) Is their app easy to navigate? For those of us who are not too tech savy.
2) When setting up overpayment do you have to op each month by same amount or can you vary your amounts? Is it as simple as here is Atoms sort code add what you want as op when you want?
Thanks in advance
I know you're asking about monthly overpayments but just to let you........ I am currently going through the process to remortgage with ATOM, I specifically asked L&C about what was the minimum I could pay as a lump sum, they said anything from £1 but when I got the details from ATOM it says lump sums of £1000 or more, so pretty annoying as like you what I can overpay each month might vary so if I have a spare couple of hundred quid I'd like to just pay it in straight away. I've still accepted the offer as my current mortgage provider is min £3000  so its better than that I suppose0 -
Oh that sucks. I was planning on a rough (ideal) guaranteed amount op per month then chucking what I can extra as and when it becomes available so this £1k screws with that plan.
Still a good fixed rate so I can always save in high interest savings account and pay off when I get £1k but that seems to be less appealing mentally than paying when I can and watching the figures change.
Just a mental thing I guess, I wanted to use the changing figures as motivation0 -
Yeah I'm just going to have to be disciplined and wait til my lump sum reaches £1,000. But once it's up and running I'm going to see how often I can change the direct debit and if I can do it from the App I'll just do that - not ideal though... I'll see how it goes....0

Hi I just wanted to give an update on this as my Atom mortgage switched over at the beginning of the month. I called to make my 1st lump sum over-payment this week, I queried what the minimum payment was for a lump sum and there is no minimum apparently.... so goodness know why it says that in my T&Cs.... will update later if it changes again but thought I'd let everyone know!0 -
Very poor service !0

Hi All,
Just finished the process and was not that impressed.
1. Didn't like not being able to speak to them directly when I had a query with the service.
2. Their solicitor is slow, asking for extra paper work at the 11th hour.
3. House was undervalued by about 10% - which has just (this weekend) been proved correct by an almost identical property selling for my estimated valuation....and when I say almost identical, the house that sold had a smaller garden and was mid-terrace (mines link-detached). Other than that it's the same build-design on a 4 year old housing development.
It bothered me because it meant my LTV fell short and I had to get a slightly more expensive product. Due to time limitations I had to continue or risk losing even more cash as my mortgage moved from a fixed rate.
On the plus side, make sure you use a cashback site when dealing with them. I got £470 back was has eased my pain slightly. David.
