When doing a freezer stash review this week, I found a tupperware containing five frozen egg whites.
I know you can make meringues and macarons with egg whites but am on a post-Easter detox from sugar so wondered if anyone had any....healthier ideas??
TIA

You can use egg whites in an omelette.....I use one whole egg and one egg white.
The egg white will make the omelette bigger - but for very few extra calories and no extra fat!
I like to separate the whole egg and whisk up the two whites, fold into the beaten yolk, and any other ingredients and then cook lightly as a 'souffl!' omelette. (Savoury favourite....mix a little philly cheese with the egg yolk - low fat version is fine - and some finely chopped herbs.........sweet favourite - mix the egg yolk with a splash of milk and half a mashed banana - serve with the remaining slices of banana - fry these slices on fry-light if liked)0 -
Clarify consomme and velvet a batch of chicken and a batch of pork.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

You can use them in cocktails.0

Both meringues & macaroons will keep for ages in an airtight tin, so unless you have loads of egg whites regularly, I would make them anyway. Nice to have to serve guests, or to make a 'hostess' gift.0

Thanks all. I suspect they'll end up as macarons and I'll eat them anyway0

Add them raw to a smoothie.
Making them into sweet treats destroys their nutrients.0 -

Sounds nice but healthy fat is essential for the body, especially brain health.

There is fat in the egg yolk...and some fat in the cheese (it is low fat...not no fat!)....the savoury omelette could be served with a salad including a slice of avocado for 'good' fat....or a little oily dressing
Low fat diets can actually be beneficial to health!...Cutting fat out completely is dangerous to health.0
