Hi
When completing affordability calculators (or full apps for that matter) which do you put Gross Pay or Taxable Gross pay. And presumably if you put taxable gross pay you can't then use (car allowances etc) again in the calculation ortherwise you are effectively using them twice??
Many thanks

I'll be interested in the answer to this as I have recently opted for a hefty salary sacrifice (20% per month) in to my work DC pension.
My original gross salary still appears on my payslips followed by the salary sacrifice amount before the usual deductions.0 -
Gross annual income usually.
If you get a car allowance some lenders will accept 100% of that or potentially a lower percentage.
Some lenders will take the pension as a deduction, others will not. If you are doing it yourself, you need to call the lender and check with them. If I am using a lender I have not used before or in a long time, I always check. The better job you do of the groundwork, the less likely it is to fall down at the underwriting stage.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
