Anyone here go to bingo?

My boyfriend and his family go to Bingo at least once a week. They have won a couple of big prizes and a few small ones but never the BIG one. I have been with them a couple of times and I'm sorry to say I find it mind numbingly boring. So do you go to bingo, do you or have you won much and do you think it's worth it? Consider that it costs £10 - £15 every time you go and thats without drinks or transport there and back. I think you end up paying them more than you'll ever win.

I used to go weekly, before I had ds2 - won a few hundred a couple of times, went with another girl and we would share winnings so made it better! lol

My nana won 20,000 a few years ago. She had a pact with a friend to share all their winnings so she gave her friend 10,000! :O0

me and my sister started going on a thursday night three weeks ago and we have won £150 and the drinks are only 70p for half a lager so its not bad really. We both have kids and its the only night we get to be just 'us' not mams! We get to be sisters againBABY SOPHIE BORN 14/08/08Cross Stitch Cafe member No:37

I go to bingo, although I can't say its ever cost me that much! Its £6 for the mains, £1 for the flyer and £1.50 for lates if we decide to stay. The drinks are ashamdly cheap, 60p for a pint of coke.
I have had a win of £500 but we always split it if its more than £25 so we always end up at least having our night paid for.
Your paying for the entertainment, not just the chance to win something. If I was only going for the pure idea I might win a tenner, then I would stop going.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -
