How can I Buy a cheaper home.? (Property Auctions)?

Hi.

I can afford a max mortgage of 80k and I am looking for property auctions so that I can buy a cheaper property, possibly with need of renovations.
Does anyone know how i go about this in Buckinghmahsire / Northampton area?
Is it possible to get anything on this value ?I am lookign for a 1-2 bedroom flat/house.
Any resource about property auctions around these areas will be much appreciated.

Thanks

I know nothing about Northants, but they were advertising on the radio about what Corby has to offer compared to London & saying how you can get a 4 bed detached house in Corby for the price of a 1 bed flat down here.

Have a look at the website to see if you can glean any info on property prices there. http://www.moreincorby.co.uk/northamptonshire/
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
  • I have tried to search for auctions, but it's a nightmare on google etc. I have found this www.barnardmarcusauctions.co.uk who sell Nationwide

Buying at auctions is often riddled with problems. you have to put down 10% on the day and then often get a max of 28 days to complete. If there are problems with the valuation it can be an expensive mistake

I live in Corby and would agree about the house prices - it's not the most glamourous area but it's being regenerated....let me know if you want any more info........
