If he is suicidal then there's far more to this than a verbal warning at work. What support is he receiving from the GP and mental health services?

In what way is he being bullied? A verbal warning is not bullying, it's a nudge to start doing your job properly.

According to past posts your payouts were for voluntary redundancy. That is entirely different from this situation. You need to keep out of this, stop sending emails that don't concern you and stop feeding your husband's irrational fears.

    1) Recall the email in the vain hope that they've not read it
Rarely works, once the email has exited the senders email system there is no obligation on external gateways to honour the request.

I'm going to stop responding now as it feels I'm just getting personal attacks and right now I don't need that, I was only trying to help. Thanks for the pieces of helpful advice. If there's any way of deleting this thread and taking my username of use for this site that would be appreciated.

I've read the responses, and I can't see anyone attacking you. I can see people pointing out some things you don't like, such as the fact that you appear to have been communicating with his employer and making demands on them that he didn't know about. And pointing out just how much worse a position your intervention could make his position. Those aren't personal attacks, they are facts you don't like.

Remember with both the internet AND email. Once you've said things you can't unsay them. Try typing once and thinking twice or you can publish things you may regret afterwards.
