Nationwide DIP

I've recently had a DIP with Nationwide and it's been accepted, my credit history is fine with no defaults. However, I'm about to pay off in full a £600 debt from over 10 years ago (this is not on my report).
My question is, if this is paid off before I complete and submit my full mortgage application, is it essential to mention it.

  • Hi. I am no expert but I would imagine there is no need if it isn't on your report and wouldn't need to be taken into consideration for affordability? Good luck with your application. X

What is there to notify? An amount you don't owe someone ? Why would you mention that ? You only mention loans you have not ones you don't have !

    I think I'm overly worried.

Obviously previous payments will be on my recent bank statements and I thought they'd be questioned. I am banking with Nationwide so they've probably noticed it already.

Thank you for the help though

If you bank with them then its not a problem as they will know about it. So whatever you do, they will know about it.

They may ask what the payments are for. They may also ask for confirmation it has been cleared in full (so get a letter from the company).
