PCP - Prempt changing mileage

hey,

Just looking for some opinions. Searched around but often easier just to ask direct.

I have a 3yr PCP on a focus that will be 2 years old in sept, based on 12k miles but I do about 15k I guess (6p/m excess) so I’m fully aware about charges etc.

But in sept I’ll be moving and then my mileage will be jumping thanks to a 50 mile each way commute. So what 30k miles per year with circa 25k of that commuting alone.

And so to the question.

1) Is it best to go back and upgrade early with a higher mileage from the start

2) Keep running the car until end of 3rd year with current payments and then are they likely to penalize me a lot?

3) Keep car pay ballloooooon payment at end ?

Cheers

    Mileage.

Ask them and see if there's a cheaper option than paying for the excess. I'd be surprised if the contract can be altered at this stage though.
  • Option 3 - save a bit now towards the balloon payment.
If needs be sell the car at this point and start again (with a higher mileage).
  • Changed spelling. sorry dyslexia kicking in there for a second.

I believe from my paper work that its a case of starting a new one with a new car.

I do plan on going to see them but I like to have as much information prior to speaking to sales staff as possible.
