My marmalade has unset :(

I made some orange marmalade which set absolutely fine. I go to open it some 2 weeks after I made it and it has turned runny. I made several jars and have noticed that those that were upright have remained set, those laid on their side have all turned runny.
They were all tightly sealed so just wondering if anyone has any idea what's happened?
Also I can't get my lemon marmalade to set at all! No matter how much boiling I do, it just fails to set.

Only one thing for it then ..... layer it through a good old fashioned pudding and steam it0

hummm, never heard of that before, ok upright but runny on it's side - bit baffling. Are the jars on their sides stored in a place with a different temperature? I don't even know if that would affect them anyway.
I agree with pasturesnew, use it in steamed puds, cakes, I think you can make marmalade vodka, brush it onto roast meats or ham etc.
I hope someone has come across this before now it'll be interesting to hear what's caused it.0 -
I know it's totally baffling me! I don't understand why about 80% of a batch remains set perfectly but the 20% that's been lain down has turned runny.....odd. All stored in the same box too!0
