Heathrow Hotel advice please

We return to Heathrow Terminal 2 at 19.40 16th May and need to travel to Weymouth. The coach link to Woking is 20.40. Even that means we don't arrive Weymouth till 25 mins past midnight which we can accept, but if for some reason we miss that connection, we have to wait till 23.15 for coach then a 6 hr wait at Woking.

Think it best to stay overnight in hotel. but, which one is closest to Term.2 that we can access but hotel bus, and return there the following day by hotel coach, to pick up on our Coachlink service, does anyone know please?

We use the Premier Inn Bath Road. You can either use the (expensive) Hoppa or the free public bus drops you a short distance away.

Another one here voting for the hotels on Bath Road, we stayed at the Ibis. To and from Terminal 2 we caught the 111 bus which is free, we got on/off near the Holiday Inn and then it was a short walk

Good shout about the free bus, here's the details...

    We've used it, no problem.

As above, there are no free "hotel" buses at Heathrow and the Hoppa service is expensive. Just get one of the hotels along the Bath Road (I like the Park Inn but they are all much of a muchness for one night) and use the free 24-hour buses.

The free local bus service is one of Heathrow's best kept secrets

Thanks to each of you for contributing. I did not know about the free bus and would have paid the Hoppa fee of £6 each otherwise. I looked at the link from PompeyPete and selected a hotel which serves T2 and made a reservation. Job done.well done.

Sssh.... don't tell anyone else about the free bus.

The only thing to watch out for is that the bus goes to/from the Central Bus Station rather than outside of the terminal but it's a short enough walk,

Note the new premier inn is selling rooms at £29.50, its walking distance to T4 with normal connects to other terminals, next door to the hilton, but £100 less :)
