hi, my work have called a meeting and i have been told they are going to make us sign a form to say they can make deductions from our pay due to stock going missing.
surely without direct evidence they can deduct anything from my pay!.
what if they dont count the stock right, damages or someone else is taking stuff?.
can someone please advise?.

Are you in a union? I'd say don't sign the form, they can't make you sign it.0 -
It is true that the employer cannot make you sign it. And you are right to be concerned since they certainly can take money from your pay once toy have signed it. But refusing is not without potential consequences either. If you have worked there for less than two years,. They may sack you - they don't need a reason. Even if more than two years, they can still sack you - they'll simply have to find a reason, which is never hard for an employer who wants to find one.0
