Have just been told we have won a holiday for 4 in Europe following filling in a questionaire at a balloon show. Pulled out of a draw. Company name is clublacosta. We have been reasured this is genuine. Asked to go to their shop in Lakeside and bring identification. Told we will be shown holiday accomodation and booking made. £50 worth of shopping vouchers for going additionally. Hmmm I'm just an old cynic but don't want to lose a real prize of course. They are writing to me. No we will not be asked to sign, listen to, give cc details etc etc. Anyone have any knowledge of this please.

Hiya, I also got this info from Club la costa, it is legit and yes they are a timeshare company but the holiday is for real. You will have to pay 29.50 booking fee for each person plus airport taxes and fuel surcharges, not sure how much that will add up to. They do tend to put the hard sell on but if you don't want to buy a timeshare just say no, you will still get the holiday. Even if you don't want the holiday it's worth going just to get the voucher, I got mine a £50 argos voucher, and we are going to use the holiday voucher as well with no intention what so ever of buying a timeshare.phoebe03cat wrote: »Have just been told we have won a holiday for 4 in Europe following filling in a questionaire at a balloon show. Thanks, no surprises there then. Has anyone taken the holiday please. DH is worried we will get there and then have our lives made a misery with the hardsell, when we are trapped.
Don't worry, have found this http://www.guardian.co.uk/travel/2003/jul/19/budgetingforyourholiday.scamsandfraud?page=all
all about Lakeside business park! Needless to say we won't be going!
Thanks guys - I love MSE
