Thank you so much - thing is we don't have any childcare. I am self-employed so work around the kids etc. We are going to push the deposit to 10% too so hopefully that helps!
Credit file is all good with no late payments or defaults.
I think this process has aged me by about 10 years! Its horrific.
Its just so silly how they look at things - even though I am not on the application I still pay half of all the bills and outgoings yet that income that my partner receives from me isn't taken into consideration? Although he has to put down 3 dependents in reality they are not dependent on him as if anything I pay all the clothes, shoes, food etc for them!
Funny to think if we were split up then he could include maintenance from me as income but as we are together it is overlooked? Doesn't make sense!
Or what about the people who pass affordability on their circumstances and then 3 months later they have a set of twins and one of them becomes a stay at home parent eradicating a whole salary!
Don't even get me started on the fact that we supposedly cannot afford £500 for a mortgage yet have paid out £600 - £800 on rent for the last 10 years with no missed payments! It is absolutely crazy!!!
Im obviously very frustrated with the system right now!! hahahah0
