Fantastic Lancôme offer at John Lewis!

I was in JL in Cribbs Causeway and took advantage of a fabulous free gift offer, you can choose between two gift sets. I should say I have worked out the values on my super-amazing spreadsheet based on the full sizes!

Both come with the following….

Creme Mousse-Confort 125ml
Muslin Cleansing Cloth
Cils Booster XL 5.5ml (Lash Primer)
Hypnose Mascara 2ml
Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation 5ml
NB This comes in the form of a voucher you need to redeem at the counter (they will match your skin to a shade - I got two colours to choose between as I always mis-match on these things due to my rosy face!)

Then you choose between either:-

Absolue Premium Bx Day Cream 15ml
Absolue Premium Bx Night Cream 15ml
Total Set Worth £125.29

OR

Hydra Zen Day Cream 15ml
Hydra Zen Night Cream 15ml
Total Set Worth £84.04

If you buy a third item you get a Nutrix Royal Hand Cream worth £23.

Gift sets are included as well, plus there’s 20% off some items, none were marked as on offer but I think pretty much all cleansers and toners were marked down!

I LOVE Lancôme so I stocked up on my favourites (as in post below)

No mention of this offer online as yet but you never know!

    ....so onto my own purchase!

I bought four items and got two gift sets (one of each) as I don’t use much hand cream and prefer the skin care.

The four items I bought were
2 x Genifique Routine Set £59 each (in a white toiletry bag rather than in a box and marked as £59 when you spend £35 but I think that’s an old offer as it came out at £59 whether or not you spend £35!)

    Bi-Facil Eye Cleanser 125ml
    Genifique Day Cream 15ml
    Genifique Eye Light Pearl 5ml
    Genifique Night Cream 15ml
    Genifique Serum 30ml
    Hydra Intense Mask 100ml
Each Set Is Worth £163.05 and I spent £118 on two!

I also bought 2 x Hydra Zen Neurocalm Eyes 15ml as I love the stuff!
    Total £66

I also asked if there was anything else I should try for the future and the lovely lady on the counter gave me the following samples worth in total £35.92 so it’s worth being chatty and cheeky! :D:T

    La Nuit Tresor EDP 1ml
La Vie Est Belle EDP 1ml
    2 x Visionnaire Multi-Correcting Cream 5ml
    2 x Visionnaire Serum 5ml

In total I spent £184 and got £637.36 worth of stuff! :money:

I think this is one for die-hard Lâncome fans only.

I wear premium branded make-up, perfume and Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect (which I concede is not good value) every day, and still wouldn't spend as much as £184 on it all in a year.

Many thanks OP for going to so much trouble.

As always, it's a question of how you interpret the word 'worth' - which with this sort of offer merely means 'RRP', 'usually costs' or something similar, rather than actually being an indication of value. But if it's worth it to you, that's all that matters!

Yes I agree, for a lot of people, 30mls of face serum for £59 isn't worth the money, but I've seen the results I get from using it so getting that in a gift set with other things I use for free is fantastic! Plus freebies on top of freebies.....win/win!

That would be better, as you get points worth 4p/£ back.

Not a fan of Boots healthcare services, but they do cosmetics well.

Eta: are they doing a triple points promotion next week? I could do with topping up my slap :D

I can't believe that people get excited about a bunch of stuff that should be given out as free samples. 15ml day cream? That is a tablespoonful. 5 ml foundation? That is a teaspoonful. What is the point? You are buying tiny amounts of overpriced stuff to get more tiny amounts of overpriced stuff 'free'.

Why not buy one full price item that you really like and that you will actually be able to use for long enough for it to make a difference. It will work out far, far cheaper.

You're assuming an awful lot! I bought items I'll use and got other items I'll use FOR FREE, I don't understand why anyone feels the need to post negative comments on a positive post. It might not be your idea of a bargain but everyone is different.
