Chimney sweep reccomendations

Can anyone recomend a chimney sweep who would cover the Carrick area?

I have never had a chimney swept before, so any info on what they actually do/amount of mess/and of course a rough price would be helpful.

But most of all reccomend someone who will do the job.

Thanks

I've no idea what chimney sweeps are still going in that area. My Mum used one who lived in Hillview Avenue, Cloughfern, but that was a long time ago. Any time I got my chimney swept there was little mess. They seal off your chimney and usually have a vacuum cleaner sucking up the debris as they clean it.

Funnily enough i am thinking about getting my chimney swept. I am in the KIngston Area (SE). Does anyone know how much mess it can generate, how exactly they do it and rough cost?

My gran got hers done yesterday and it cost £25 as well
  • Thanks for this, have always wondered how much roughly this would cost, don't use the fires as probably need some work doing to them to get them up & going, have never had the chimneys swept & do sometimes get small amounts of debris down the chimney, so may well enquire, when I'm a bit better off!!!
