Advice request

Good evening,

Im just after some info regarding loans and acceptability etc

I am after a large personal loan, i am transgender amd dont fit the criteria for the NHS's strict guidlines for surgery so the only option is private. The quote i got was £33k for all the surgery!!!

I am a father and huaband and my wife is behind me 100% i am depserate to get it done asap as my kids are really young 16 months and 5 months and i would much rather do it sooner to make it easier

I did an online chances of being accepted quote and the best i could get was 12k with a 30% chance of getting it
..

My questions are, is it better to wait until my two mzjor loans are paid off at the end of this year would i gey a higher chance better rates etc?

Is there anyother options? Ive tried crowd funding etc but unfourtunately i have been shunned by family and friends :/ i even looked into selling organs lol

Any adivce would be awesome

Any existing debts will impact greatly on further lending.

    Hi
Whilst I am sympathetic to the reasons behind your trying to borrow this money, I think you may need to seek other methods of raising the money,

9.5 months ago you were earning £8.60 an hour with your wife giving up work, this means at least three dependents including your two young children. You have other loans and financial commitments too. You said last year you are already working 45 hours a week.

I am no financial expert but I cannot see any way a bank or similar would lend you this amount of money whilst on this level of earnings and with the money you do earn has to go on current debt repayments and three dependents.

Are you a home owner, could you try equity release?
Are there any charities who specialise persons in your position?
Why are you so sure the NHS cannot help?

I wish you the best of luck following your dreams but honest reality check, now may not be the right time to consider this through borrowing.

Lending criteria has been tightened up in recent years, affordability is the key to any lending decision.
I very much doubt you will get an unsecured loan for that amount, especially If you have current borrowing.

Banks just will not lend that kind of money unless you have a sufficiently large income, a pristine credit record, and you meet all there other lending criteria.

I think you will need to look elsewhere for funding.

Unless you have a really large income you are not going to get a 33k unsecured loan. As your previous posts indicate that you claim benefits, have a low income and you, your wife and your 3 children all live with your parents plus the fact that you say you have two existing 'major' loans, I would personally rate your chances of getting such a loan as zero.
In addition, this is presumably major surgery which would entail some time off work. How will you keep up the payments on your existing financial commitments, not to mention the proposed new loan, while you are off work recovering from the surgery?
And why would the father of a 5 month old child want this sort of surgery? Are you sure that you have really thought through all the implications of this decision, not only for yourself but for your wife and children? Will the mother of your children really be happy being in an FF same-sex relationship with the father of her children? I note that you also say you have been shunned by family and friends; perhaps this is an indication of how they feel about your decision. If they felt it was the right decision would they not be expressing support rather than shunning you?
PS Selling organs is illegal in the UK.
