Evening all,
Its been a busy day here, the gardener guy we get to tidy up a few times in the year was here and I had to make sure that I had a list of all the things which needed doing......he will be back tomorrow to finish off.......its really worth the money as he is very reliable, comes when he says he will, doesnt charge a fortune and takes a load off me, OH is no longer able (or to be honest, willing) to do heavy work.
Csarina...you need a holiday, so enjoy it.
Gers.....congratulations on your pension raise.
LW.......glad that you are on top of Mr LWs entitlements.
Ruby....congrats on all the firewood, I gather as much as I can from the fields but OH likes coal, so there is usually more of that used than anything, mind you I never light the fire or pay for coal so I suppose I shouldnt complain.
Made a mess of the yoke of a dress I was knitting for DGD6, so have to rip out the yoke and redo........almost 70 years knitting and I make a mistake that a 10 yearold wouldnt make, am so mad with myself!
Take care of yourselves,

Spent the last couple of hours sending biblical scriptures in messages to my friend. We grew up together, went to school together, had babies together, lost babies together and raised our families under the wing of the same church. She feels very unloved by God at the moment. I wish i could heal her pain.
She is a couple of years younger than me but lost her husband unexpectedly a couple of months ago to a stroke.
I messaged her my condolences when i found out her husband had died, couldnt go to the funeral as we were away at the time but ive been putting off contacting her since. I wanted to but didnt know what to say.
Well i plucked up courage and messaged her this evening. She is sitting alone in their caravan in Shrewsbury all alone and is loving being where they would be this bank holiday, but is missing her husband dreadfully.
I am going to see her next week. Ive got a few days to think of what to or what not to say. This is going to be so hard.
Her husband was a lovely man. They were so close.
Sleep well all. I hope my friend sleeps well too. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
