Meal plans for exercise

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can point me towards good reference sites for meal plans for exercise.

After becoming a bit plump last year due to inactivity/desk based work etc. I have for the last 5 months been attending the gym 3 times per week, swimming and other activities such as ditching the car in favour of walking and so on. I have now lost over a stone and dropped 2 belt holes :j. The body is looking a lot more athletic and defined.

Now I want to shed some of the remaining fat especially around the abs, pecs, lats etc. while still allowing muscles to strengthen and increase (not looking to body build, just become more athletic, toned/defined and leaner)

Anyone have any links to meal plans that I can utilise? Not really sure where to start to reduce fat but still build. define and strengthen muscle

thanks

    Hi there!

I'd suggest you download an app called 'My Fitness Pal' - it's a calorie counting app, so rather than following a particular diet, it helps you lose weight by eating the foods you like - it tells you how many calories you need to be eating to lose weight and helps you stick to that number.

It's totally free, so won't cost you a penny!
    Loan [STRIKE]£5000[/STRIKE] £0; Overdraft [STRIKE] £700[/STRIKE] £0
    Savings [STRIKE]£0[/STRIKE] +£1500; Share Portfolio [STRIKE]£0[/STRIKE] +£4000
    £0 Credit Card [STRIKE]£6800[/STRIKE] £1700

It sounds like you are wanting to recomp.

Choose any foods you like but get your calories to your maintenance level. Protein and fat are your friends, ensure you eat 0.8g of protein per 1lb of body weight and 20% of your calories from fats.

Are you following a lifting programme?
