Hi guys,
Got a friend who needs a loan to study a course but she isn't a British national. It's also difficult for her as she is a nanny so the job doesn't pay so great or if particulary stable or guaranteed income from a bank persecptive even though its fine of course as she is paying rent etc...
She has been looking at a site like amigo loans but I wondered if there were more trust worthy sites..

Why does her paying rent help her income?
Amigo are entirely trustworthy. It's just they charge very high rates and require a guarantor.0 -
Sorry I just meant she doesn't need a loan for something stupid, she is trying to get a loan to get a certificate but she is able to pay back money through her current job and that she pays rent which shows some level of ability to make regular payment.0

Keeping a roof over her head is kind of a minimum requirement and will be expected. Lenders will be concerned by the instability of her income and lack of credit history.
She may need to wait a while until she is more established.0 -
How much does she save currently? You say a low wage and pays rent is there enough money left over for a loan?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

How much are we talking about?
Surely "the bank of mum and dad" should be her first port of call?
If it's just a few hundred, she should just save up (or you could step in to help)
If it's thousands, best start looking for better paying jobs.0
