  • I saw this one too, comes in silver as well and has a 5yr guarantee.
Does anyone know the quality and make of these? Were they really worth the original £50 price tag?

    Cheers
  • I'm 'presuming' its a Brabantia at that price! Yes they are excellent, but keep your receipt, as if you have 'heavy handed kids' (as we do), the touch lid might need replacing in a couple of years!

Had the argos one of these the last time this offer came out, we are not heavy-handed, had to give it back after a few months as the lid wouldn't stay shut :(
No one said it was gonna be easy!
  • Got one of these and the lid started playing up whereby it wouldn't open.....a quick squirt of WD40 and it was like brand new.

Actually I just looked & theres no mention of it being an actual brabantia. It looks like the argos copy of it. We have the 50l brabantia & actually went for it despite the expense as they replace the lid when you need it (we have very heavy handed children here aswell) therby making it a financially viable option.
I'm not sure on the argos policy for replacing the lid though so it might be worth checking.

We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.
