removing me from the mortgage

I'm currently on a mortgage with my mum however I'm looking to buy a flat and I can't have 2 mortgages. Is it possible to just remove me from a mortgage without remortgaging? My mum can borrow more than what's left on the mortgage and the mortgage is <50% of the value of the property.

It will require going through an application process either with the current provider or with someone else. It is a full mortgage application essentially to ensure she is in a position to take the mortgage on in her own name. There will also be a solicitor involved in the process.
