Do Nationwide allow you to change your loan direct debit payment date? I have looked all over their website but cannot find any info.

I suppose I can call, but if anyone knows if the answer is 'no' it saves me the phone call I guess?

    Thanks.

Instead of posting on here, why not ring up and ask them. People seem to have an aversion to conversation these days.

My guess is that they will say "Of course you can move your payment date, Mr Rich, but it will cost you more in interest".

I never said I had an aversion to calling and as the answer was no then the phone call didn't work if you think about it.

....I rent, I don't have £10,000 of goods to sell, I don't drive so have no car, I have the laptop worth £500, small dent on £10,000, even if I sell everything I have and sleep on the floor, I'll still owe NW money.

I appreciate it is none of my business, but i'm wondering why with 16 years of continuous "boom time" employment income, you needed to take out a £10,000 loan as you say you have no home (so no home improvements), car or any other tangible assets to show for it?

Please appreciate that I'm not demanding or expecting a response, it's just pure curiosity.
    • The rich buy assets.
    • The poor only have expenses.
    • The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

Literally that, boom time and enjoying life.

It isn't and wasn't a problem paying it back however there is a possibility as circumstances might change.
