Atom bank fix

Hi all,
Has anyone applied for the advertised 5 year fix at 1.29%?
Obviously the rate is attractive but I am concerned about the £900 fee and the fact that it needs to go through a broker.
I have never used a broker before as my bank is very competitive (and so far unbeaten by the brokers I have approached). Also I have always gone for a free free mortgage.
Any thoughts on this please?:j
