RBS Loan help....

I have got a loan with RBS and the balance today is -£3475, I gave RBS a call earlier to ask for a final settlement quote as I have just come in to a little bit of money.

However the final settlement they gave me was £3560 as this includes the 58 days interest that I would be required to pay for an early settlement. The loan still has 24 months to go.

Is this correct? as I though that the 58 days interest that you pay for an early settlement is only added on to todays date and not at the end of the loan. This would mean I am paying the extra 24 months interest aswell.

I am confused with this figure

Andy

The figure is your current balance plus 58 days interest.

what are the monthly payments? (more than £145?)
the balance today will not include the interest if you were paying to the end

what was the term and the APR?...certainly if your months remaining are correct it looks like it would be cheaper to just carry on with the payments

I think £85 in additional interest is not that bad, I don't know how you figure that you're paying interest to the end of the loan.
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

Cancel my above, it appears that you have very little interest left to pay.
