Estate agent valuation worth it for re-mortgage?

I have a free offer of an estate agent to visit my house and give a valuation. Is this worthwhile in relation to remortgage? Will the bank take a written recent valuation as credible for qualifying for a re-mortgage?

Lenders will use their own independent valuer. For good reason, as the EA could be your brother in law for all they know. Fraud is more often or not conducted through collusion between parties.0
