Buying a mortgage from partner

Hi I have paid quite a bit in to the property,when I sold the flat I bought a new roof for the house, I then transferred money to put a small lump sum towards the mortgage then too. I would like security for myself and children for various reasons too. Sometimes the relationship has been rocky.
