MISCO DEAL- 32" Hanspree HD Ready Tv

http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?Sku=129981&sourceid=6141:-

Hi all,

Got this email tonight from Misco, seems like a great bargain at £299.99, with an offer of paying nothing till 2008, although I haven't checked the small print, just wanted to post in case it was useful to anyone. I'm up for one of these but just bought a new cooker and now waiting till I've paid that before making another big purchase. I bought a laptop from Misco a few months back for my kids and have to say they were brilliant, got a fab bargain and they delivered on time, kids are delighted with laptop:T

  • Good deal this - Hannspree panels have a good reputation and this is the higher spec version with two HDMI sockets.

    I've been looking at the 37" version - it's only another £100!

I might treat myself if I get my 'end of quarter' bonus!

    :)

i have one of these in the 32inch and its superb

    highly reccomended

  • Is this one the same as indicated in the original post? http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/129440
Just wondered if MISCO charge for delivery? Its £304.99 delivered at e buyer.
  • I would think twice about buying another Hannspree product. I got a HannsWing 32 TV from Misco (no complaint against Misco, they've been great) in June. The Remote control was flakey from about the third week but got progressively worse and began to work so intermitently it was unusable.

I called Misco who put me on to Hanspree who were entirely useless. They told me that dspite the TV having an extended warranty (onsite even) the remote control carried a 30 day warranty as it was not an intrisic part of the TV. I was seething and, franky, was on the verge of complaining to trading standards when I realised I should be deailing with Misco.

Misco were great, but it's still taken over a month to get a replacement because of hanspree not having any.

I understand that there are a number of forums around that slate hanspree's customer service. Be cautious..
  • ohhh no, i'm staying away from misco, I ordered a 32" Hannspree, they delivered an inferior hannspree model and then started being abusive when I told them they'd sent the wrong product, even calling me a liar. TBH the picture quality wasn't great even when using a gold plated scart cable from m'sky box... I got trading standards involved luckily some other people on here had the same wrong tv delivered and things were soon sorted tho :T I've had good experiences with ebuyer, they seem to care more about their customers :D
  • tbh the forums that are slating these televisions are your more home cinema bods who know thier stuff inside and out and rightly so can slate it but they also slate televisions that are 3 times the price of this

you get what you pay for and until the so called decent manufactures reduce prices then we will be buying these(and they are all made in the same area anyway)

for 300 pounds the picture is superb and hook it up with a decent dvd upscaler for around 50 or hd source and you have a decent tv

im sorry to hear about your remote but at least it wasnt the tele:beer:

    cheers Oldie

Nah - the Ebuyer one only has one HDMI socket - I think when I checked the spec of the two types out on the Hannspree website there are supposed to be other differences, but I can't remember what they are - sorry.

I checked MISCO for delivery last night - their cheapest option is a 1-3 day service at £9.50, but they also offer next day for just over £13, so not bad.

    :)

EDIT: I'm surprised to hear somebody praising Ebuyer's customer service - I've used the shop a few times with no problems, but I always remember their CS operation getting a right slagging - have they ditched that rubbish 'e-notes' system?

I've never had any problems to be honest. Not the quickest response from their CS but it's always been decent when they get back to me :)

Never had a problem with their RMA processes either, believe it or not!
  • Ebuyer custoemr services are hugely improved.
    ::Quidco.com - £1100 in 11 months. Kerr-ching! ::
